Seeking to merge Technology and Sustainability

Conventional plastics, especially those from non-renewable sources, pose a challenge to the environment due to their limited biodegradability.

Laboratories can mitigate their impact by integrating bio-based materials and adopting environmentallyfriendly practices that minimize their plastic footprint. Biosigma, committed to innovation and sustainability, has embraced the Mass Balance Model, integrating circular feedstocks into its production facilities.

As a pioneer in innovation, Biosigma introduces the , which are manufactured with at least 90% certified plastic from bio-based raw materials.

During this process, the properties of the polymer and the product remain compliant with the existing specifications. Such a sustainable approach not only preserves product integrity, but also contributes to significant emission savings, in line with our commitment to a greener future.

Biosigma's commitment with the BIOBased CLEARLine® Products for Plastic Neutrality

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and the integration of ESG principles, Biosigma takes another significant step forward by making the BIOBased CLEARLine® products Plastic Neutral. Thanks to the collaboration with Ogyre, for every kilogram of product sold, an equivalent amount of plastic will be recovered from the sea through the Fishing for Litter program in Brazil, all tracked using blockchain technology and certified by SGS.

In this way, Biosigma neutralizes the amount of plastic used in the production of its BIOBased CLEARLine® Products, this contributing to the reduction of its environmental impact while supporting local fishing communities in Guanabara Bay, near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Plastic Neutrality project can be monitored at this link.
